What is the difference between a woven patch and an embroidered one?
Thread thickness. An embroidered patch uses heavier thread, so the design sits up off the backing and you can feel the stitches. A woven patch uses much finer thread packed tighter, which gives a flatter, smoother face and holds far more detail. That is why this one can carry a sunburst and a full arch silhouette at the size of a business card. Neither is better made, they are just built for different artwork.
