Cactus Bloom Carryall Tote

Light enough to forget you are carrying it, tough enough that you stop being careful with it, in our Cactus Bloom print. Tyvek inside and out, so it sheds water, resists tearing, and wipes clean. When wiping is not enough it goes in the washing machine on delicate and air dries.

Cactus Bloom is one of our own prints, drawn in house for Desert Sol: green prickly pear cactus and warm orange blooms on a soft beige ground, the desert in spring when everything decides to flower at once.

Inside there is a sleeve sized for a laptop or a notebook, held shut with a gold magnetic button, a zip pocket for the things you do not want loose, and a key leash so you stop digging. Outside there is a second zip pocket for whatever you need without opening the bag.

What is Tyvek and why make a bag out of it?

Tyvek is a spun bonded polyethylene, the material used for house wrap and express mail envelopes. It weighs almost nothing, water runs off it rather than soaking in, and it is remarkably hard to tear even though it feels like paper.

What changed from the first version?

The first run of this tote used a snap button on the interior laptop sleeve that could tear the Tyvek over time. This version uses a gold magnetic closure instead, and adds an exterior zip pocket. The first run is still available at a marked down final sale price.
